taking a breather
Oct. 12th, 2005 10:07 amIt's Japanese mid-term exam week! I'm not procrastinating. Still two exams tomorrow and Friday. Just taking a breather after the 20 minute group oral exam. There wasn't really much we could do to prepare because the discussion topic is given to us when we walk in the door. And the professor picked a topic we hadn't considered. Gah. In the very least we [Queeny and Katie and I] can say "we didn't die."
I have an insane amount of stuff to study for tomorrow's exam. When asked what the test will focus on our professor's reply was, "Everything." So, I'll have to study about 200 rather new vocabulary words and only about 15 or so will appear on the actual exam. *throws self out the window* しゃないな。
At this point I can't even consider the Reading and Writing exam on Friday. Fortunately, the professor for that class told us exactly what we need to study. Bless his soul. The only section I'm freaking out about is the writing section. Word processing has spoiled me rotten. I'm not sure that I'm doing so hot in this class. On my weekly reports I keep getting the same "positive" comment that I'm using "the Japanese I have now" well. This probably means that I need to work on sounding more "academic." And use more difficult words. これからも挑戦だ。
I'm a fool for not noticing sooner, but Lagoon Engine is now appearing regularly in ASUKA. Yay~! Although, this doesn't mean I'm going to start buying ASUKA again. It just means that the 4th volume will come out sooner and I will buy it.
